Description

Overview

The Everlast Adaptive Climbing Wall is designed to make rock climbing more accessible and inclusive for children with a wide range of abilities. Paired with an Adaptive Climbing Activity Guide, it helps instructors integrate youth with special needs into climbing programs while combining physical activity with learning opportunities.

The smooth, dry-erase and magnet-friendly surface allows instructors to use writing, sentence-building activities, word magnets, and math magnets to support children with cognitive or communication disabilities. Adaptive Climbing Holds feature grab-bar style hand holds and ledge-style foot holds that provide additional stability and support for children with physical disabilities.

Color-coded Groperz Hand Holds offer different climbing challenges. Green holds are the largest and easiest to grip, yellow holds come in various sizes for a light challenge, and red holds are medium-sized and provide the greatest challenge. Climbers can select any color or increase the difficulty by using only one color of hand hold.

The signature Red-Relief Line is a safety feature that reminds climbers to remain within three feet of the floor while providing a helpful visual reference for climbing wall supervisors.

The Adaptive Climbing Wall is well suited for adapted and inclusive physical education, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and special education environments. Climbing activities can help develop balance, body awareness, muscle strength, motor planning, problem-solving, visual attention, and concentration. Climbing can also provide proprioceptive input that supports sensory integration.

Each 4' x 8' Adaptive Wall section includes sentence-building, word, and math magnets, Adaptive Climbing Holds, Groperz Hand Holds, 66 preset hand-hold placement options, the Red-Relief Line, an Adaptive Climbing Activity Guide, and dry-erase markers.

  • Large items ship by freight truck with curbside delivery, unless a loading dock is available. Liftgate service is not included.
  • The customer is responsible for unloading. A forklift is recommended, especially for commercial play systems and shade structures, which can be very large and heavy.
  • Many crates and pallets can be taken apart and unloaded by hand, but this takes longer. If unloading goes beyond the carrier's free unloading time (usually 2 to 3 hours), the carrier may charge detention fees, which are the customer's responsibility.
  • Once your order ships, we will email you tracking details and unloading instructions.
